Going Green Designs & Products

Universal Landscape, Inc. is committed to working with methods that both help people earn greater savings with water & electrical usage – while always looking forward to new developments as a long term need to live and work more environmentally responsible.

Depending on the project, whether residential or commercial, depending on the projects goals – we will work with certified LEED Green Industry certified architects, engineers and consultants regarding the most cost effective and efficient way to install a water plan or energy saving designs or products to help meet your goals. As we are called upon for land planning, with interest – the conservative approach to our environment is always a driving thought.

For the residential properties, low voltage and LED lighting offers more efficient and high quality options to traditional lighting, and more efficient pumps for irrigation, pools and waterfalls are also an inexpensive option which can provide greater immediate savings on power bills.

For larger estates, commercial & municipal properties – solar energy may be an option to consider, and while we do not install these projects – we do consult with these professionals when a project is being designed with these considerations – looking at the properties energy needs verses what will be required.

With water conservation for estates and larger projects, water retention may be a good investment to both reduce water costs and to implement more environmentally responsible practices. If you’re having a new roof put on and you are thinking of conserving, again while we do not install roofs – a metal roof will provide a greater ability to save and harness rainwater for cisterns than any other type of roof.

If you have any questions on how a project you are having done – can be ‘more green’ with water and energy needs – bring it up at the time of our Free Consultation – and we will be glad to do a review and provide you with options.
